Another awesome day!
Randy and I woke up earlier than Cori and went to find a place to have breakfast. I found one that looked good in Google but even with both of us on our phone maps we couldn’t find it. We gave up and stopped at a place that looked decent. I tried to order a mocha (caffe’ mocha) but he said “Mocha?” and looked confused. Then I said “Chocolate” and he said “Hot chocolate?” I just said, “Sure.” It was like drinking chocolate syrup! I ordered a Cappuccino, which Randy had ordered, and poured it into the hot chocolate. Made my own mocha. :) They didn’t have the “American Breakfast” until 9:30 so we both had a panini. Very good.
We walked to St. Peter’s Basilica and the bridge Cori and I had walked to yesterday. I had layered a sweater and my jacket and by the time we were walking back I took them both off. It was quite warm in the sun. Not complaining, though. I was afraid it’d be cold and rainy.
Cori and I walked to a little grocery store and bought food so we can have breakfast and lunch in the VRBO. So tomorrow I’ll try that teensy kitchen. We even got espresso beans ground for French Press. The VRBO has a French Press. I’ll make our lattes.
Today is my birthday so we went out for a special dinner at Rick Steve’s second favorite restaurant. Delicious! I cannot believe I am 70 years old! I am grateful to God for my and Randy’s health, for my wonderful life, family, and friends. God is good.
