Road Trip - April-May 2026 - #9 - Monument Valley

We made a couple changes to our plans. When I was reserving our campsite for Arches National Park, I wasn’t sure how long it would take to get from Tucson to Arches, and I thought we might want to go to a few places before we got to the park, so I left 5 days for that. We decided to get a hotel near Monument Valley for a few nights. Neither of us had been there and we see it often in pictures, paintings, and movies, especially the ones based on Tony Hillerman’s novels, which both of us have read. We moved our reservation for Arches two days ahead to give us three days to go to Monument Valley and then get to Arches.
