Double arch (our favorite) with some interesting shadow & light.

We decided to make one final drive through Arches at a later time of day. The shadows made the rocks and vistas even more striking.

I wanted a picture of myself with the sun rays in the background. First, I was too dark.

Tried using a flash and…now too light. We’ll keep trying.

First try at a selfie. Too direct looking into the sun. Squinting and the shadow of Randy’s hand and phone.

Better.

I love it when the sun and clouds make big rays from the sky to earth. This time, the rays emanated in all directions, including up. It was a little faint, but so awesome! I kept trying to get a good photo:
