Night Tour

The last trip to Washington DC for this visit was a night tour that the campground offered. At first we thought it wasn’t going to be too great. It started at 5:30 so it wasn’t dark yet and it was still quite hazy from the smoke. Plus the tour guide was nice enough but she wasn’t very good. We realized again how good Kareem, our first tour guide, had been.

Things improved as it did get dark and we were able to see some nice views of monuments lit up. We also got to see the FDR (Franklin Delano Roosevelt memorial, which we had forgotten about. The visitor center was closed but we did get to see the outside.
