First visit to Washington DC!

June 1st was a day to get situated and get the car. It was a pleasant day in the campground.

We saw this cute, coordinated teardrop trailer. We’re too big and tall to ever use a teardrop but they sure are cute. I told my daughter-in-law Des it made me think of her. She likes red.

Our little trailer.

June 2nd we went to Washington DC! We began with two excellent selfies—a real specialty of ours.

We took a tour with a small touring company that brings small groups around in a little van, drives by the 10 most popular spots and drops you off at several. It turned out that our van had just us and one other couple. Our driver was Kareem and he was so good! He grew up in Washington DC and really knew his stuff. He also had trivia questions to entertain us between stops. Randy, of course, is a history buff extraordinaire—the one you always want on your Trivia game team—so he got lots of answers and the other husband was a history teacher so he knew a lot, too. We wives—Angela and I—held our own as well. (To enlarge the picture and see continued captions, click on it.
