Fremont

Fremont Lake
Here I am sitting at the table on Marj's porch, enjoying the calm water, the blue-to-pink sky, the moon, the trees, and the bird calls. When there's no one driving by, the silence is beautiful.

Randy and I bought a little (20 ft.) travel trailer. It turned out the best price was in Ohio so Randy's brother Dale picked it up for us and they stored it at his brother Charlie's place until we could get here. I flew up to Michigan on July 11th to get here early so I could stock our trailer. Randy and Luke are driving the truck up and we're expecting them any minute (it's July 14 now). Luke will have a short visit, leaving early Tuesday, and we will be here till Wednesday, when we will go to Hoffmaster State Park in Grand Haven. Pati and her kids and grandkids will be there. Looking forward to seeing them again.

Marj is doing quite well. She's 89! Her knees are giving her a lot of pain and her hearing is not stellar, but she is sharp as a tack. It's great to have some time with her. I've also visited with Jake, his daughter Sierra, her friend Sarah, Pati for a minute (she'll be at Hoffmaster), Charlie, and Mary Joe. Saw some Nieboers, too, and they kindly lent us the cabin next door for sleeping.

View from my computer on the porch table
Family of swans. The gray one looked like an ugly duckling! It is younger. Marj says they start out gray.
Hard to see, but the moon at night was so pretty.
Marj looking good! Enjoying the porch.

Getting ready to go tubing with the pontoon boat. Sierra, Jake, Sarah
Charlie getting things ready.

And they're off!

Deacon Nieboer fishing at the lucky spot where several people caught fish.
PS - Randy and Luke arrived safely!
